I think it would be best for the hostel if they will have somebody who knows how to speak English since travelers come from different places, staff should somehow knows how to speak the universal language which is "English" specially those who are assign in the reception area. I suggest if the hostel should apply for accreditation wherein they will be able to accept credit card payments.

This is one of the best hostel I have been , especially for the kindness and the help of the staff One of the young ladies purchased a plane ticket for me at the last minute, I could not have done that by myself . I am very, very grateful. The location is great and the bar also.

Bathroom drain smelly; but I know this a problem in China generally Toiletries were placed in the dressing room table; I found them but at first thought there was no toilet paper Please respond to e-mails sent to you by customers and answer the questions written in the e-mail. I wanted to visit a tulou but knew it would be difficult as I was only staying 1 night at the hostel. Their reply was they would tell me about tours when I got there, I e-mailed again and they did not reply.

Nice hostel, the staff was very helpful when explaining which bus to take. Not the most comfy beds but overall a satisfying experience.

Spent about 11 nights in 8-bed dorm; hostel was undergoing improvements and renovations during the time; mix of Chinese and Western guests during my stay; big lockers; you have to play keycard roulette in the dorms to keep the electricity on if people are coming/going; outside area with bench and plants was quite nice; wifi in dorms and outside areas; pool table; ecclectic music selection in common area during day; staff kept to themselves mostly; walking distance from pedestrian/snack streets

Directions to the hostel from the airport are incorrect. There is no direct bus as stated from the airport. Do try and get directions to the hostel beforehand if you are intending to take public transport, otherwise, without a proper command of mandarin, it's gonna be pretty difficult. Alternatively, it would be easier if you could just take a cab. The staff were awesome (not all, but most). Toilets are not exactly very clean, but the rooms were great. Fellow travelers were pretty friendly.

This hostel was a mixed bag. One one hand it was in a lovely old house, had great staff and a good location. On the other hand we had to switch rooms due to renovations - the first room was damp and smelled of moisture; the second room, that was supposed to be renovated, had a toilet/showerroom that smelled of sewage, when windows were closed and had a blocked drain in a shower. Add to that a small leak of waste-water from the toilet and you see why I probably would not return for another stay.
