XiaMen Baijiacun International Hostel Reviews

The windows are too close to the door, you just have to open them (there is no kind of lock to block them) are open the door from the inside, bad point for the security. Staff is very nice but not very well organized. Good location, a little bit far from the bars/clubs (most of them are located at 海湾公园 and around 筼筜湖) but just a few meters from 镇海路. Nice atmosphere, very calm at night, dorms are ok, but still don't know yet if my sheets were clean of if they were already used before me.

I had a great stay at the baijiacun. The staff is very friendly and the location is perfect. The beds were clean and the dorms had a/c. I wish all hostels were like baijiacun!

Really enjoyed my stay there. Even though it's a lil bit far from the beach and the lively area (zengcuoan lu) I reccomend it. Nice staff and really nice hostel in general

Local map of immediate surrounding would be nice. If you had one no one was able to explain the lay of the land.

Security is taken very serious at this hostel. Felt very safe. It was cold in Xiamen during this time and as a result the hostel room well below room temperature at around 15 degrees C. The heater/air conditioner did very little to warm up the room to a comfortable temperature. Overall decent hostel.

Great place but staff weren't helpful in assisting with onward travel. Not their fault though. My Chinese is not good enough.

Some of the bathrooms smelled. The water was mostly cold water (okay in the summer, not winter). Location was good, near the park and near the 'night market' and shopping area. Easy to access the bus with bus stops all around. A bit hard to find at first, but has very unique look to it with 2 very adorable cats. Bring your own lock for the lockers if you have a dorm room.

the outdoor pool table is a big hit, and the whole property is centered around a serene courtyard. Though the outdoor walk to the bathroom in winter may get a bit cold, it's still a great place to hang out!

The garden is very beautiful ,and it has free wifi ,the hostel near xiamen university and ferry ,i like the hostel.

unfriendly staff, no coffee in the morning

stayed in twin room this Dec. location is great, walking distance frm the ferry port and in a nice area. its the cleanest hostel i've seen in 1.5 years in china. Staff didnt speak much english but for china it was ok, we got directions and all our answers. the front door is open at all times tho, so maybe security is an issue.our room had a kettle, A/C, towels, new clean bedding and really hot water 24/7. would defo recommend it. they have two lovely kittens in the garden which was a plus.

I will be back, and nice people of the staff
