Xiamen International Youth Hostel completely changed my perspective of youth hostels. The staff were so accomodating and helpful; I could not have asked for a better accomodation. They could speak English as well, which made conversations much easier. Special thanks to Lily who have been very helpful throughout my stay in this hostel. It was being cleaned every day. It was a great value for money. From now on, I will be book my accomodations thru youth hostels already. Thank you! :)

The place is good though the staffs need more patience to customers.

Pros: Clean room Close to tourist areas of Xiamen Cons: Hard to find. Make sure you have the address handy Single was a bit small and humid (probably standard for Xiamen) In all, it was fine. Not incredible but definitely not bad

I really enjoyed staying here! It was my first time ever staying in a hostel and I found it well beyond what I had imagined! I will definitely be using this hostel when I go back down to Xia Men!

Adequate rooms. Excellent location. Small town feel, near University. Prefer this area to downtown.

Overall a great place to stay. Very relaxing atmosphere and environment. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The kitchen serves a tasty breakfast and other meals, though they are a bit pricier than what you can find around Xiamen. A good selection of import beers, and a small liquor selection at the bar. Coffee and tea as well. Very good place to meet people as there was a good mix of Chinese and international tourists when I stayed here. Also a few other cafes nearby. 4.5 stars

Nice hostel, cute dogs. Sofa cover and its pillow cover needing a wash, they look and smell moldy.

Very good location. Staff here are helpful. The hotel is not that delicate but cozy enough.

Friendly and beautiful hostel. A little out of the centre of the town (short bus ride or half hour walk), but short walk to the board walk on the beach. Loved this hostel and Xiamen.

The girl staff members were helpful and friendly. The male night staff were quite morose and mood killing. They stop serving beer and midnight, which is fine, but they also turn off the lights in the courtyard, and at 1am ask everyone to go to sleep. I think this kind of misses the point of a youth hostel. There was also very loud renovation work going on early morning right next to our dorm. There was no apology offered or anything given in compensation
