This hostel is located in the backyard of a hotel, just one bus stop away from Xiamen train station but kinda far from all the main sites in Xiamen, need to take a bus for visiting. The staff are not very patient when answering questions. The whole atmosphere is not very inviting.

the location is excellent being close to the city center, but locating the hostel the first time was difficult for me. Bigong Hotel is not a useful landmark since it is just as inside as the hostel. That huge bank fronting the gate going inside the hostel would have been a lot easier. Otherwise, the place is excellent especially the friendly and helpful staff.

Jia Home was a great hostel. The staff was amazing, they were very helpful and English speaking. The only issue I had was the lack of WIFI, however there were free computers to use instead. The only real issue was that the rooms were cold.

We stayed in a twin room. It was modern and clean, however it was freezing cold and there was no heating available. The girl at reception was very rude when we arrived. This was disappointing!! Other than this, the hostel was great!

Actually, one of the better hostels that I have been in while in China! I just want to expand upon their directions from the train. The stop is named wenzao, not wnzao, and the characters look like this 文灶。 When you find the bus stop, check the sign for any bus mentioned in the directions and find these two characters. Their directions are correct, but my explanation may help those who cannot read or understand Chinese. Enjoy your stay!

The rooms where really cold. I know Xiamen rarely gets cold during the year, but in the off chance it does you better bundle up or you will be unable to sleep. Also, I didn't like having the bathroom inside the dorm room. Whenever anyone wanted to use the facilities it would wake everyone in the room up. It will be better to have communal bathrooms on each floor. Other than that the place was great - clean, friendly, and simple.
