It was ok, but just ok. This particular hostel had very little going for it in the way of personality, and the bed was really uncomfortable. I will say that if you going to Hanmer Springs the location is wonderful, just a two minute walk, which was great.

The 5 bed doorm room was ideal for our group (60+ year olds). We used this hostel on out way to St Arnauld for a week of tramping. the facility was clean and bright. Staff were helpful and it was close to the town and springs.
