Kakapo Lodge

Kakapo Lodge is central located, only a 3 minute walk form the famous Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa.

Relaxing inside the property is easy during winter with a Log Fire and Under-floor Heating as well as extra blankets on request. Cook up a storm in our large Communal Kitchen and Dining room.

Enjoy your time outside up on the sunny decks or down in the peaceful Garden and BBQ area, with lots of mountain views from all angles.

We have Netflix and Prime Video which can be watched upstairs in the lounge. Or you can grab a book from our book exchange to read during your stay.

Downstairs are the computer terminals which offer internet as well as a place to upload all of your holiday snaps. WiFi is available throughout the property.

Bed and Room Movements

Whilst every endeavour will be made to ensure you are accommodated in the same room throughout your stay, due to limited availability at time of booking, it may be necessary for you to change rooms. If applicable, you will be advised of this at check-in. You will be accommodated in a room of similar or higher standard to that originally booked.
Due to limited availability at time of booking, multi-share accommodation for two or more guests may be provided in separate rooms. Every endeavour will be made to ensure this does not occur, but should this be necessary you will be advised at check-in.
