Fun place to stay, located in central location. Bathroom placement within four bed dorm rooms is interesting, potentially awkward.

Overall a good experience if not spectacular. The hostel is located in the center of the city reachable by bus from nearly anywhere if you're comfortable using the Chinese bus system. The staff was friendly but gave us wrong directions once. We got a 2 person twin private, which was spacious but very basic. The beds were hard (standard in Chand you could hear noise from the street, but it was reasonably clean.

We could not find anywhere in the common areas to sit where we were not surrounded by smokers. The chef was away for the three nights we stayed so we didn't get to sample the food. Attention to detail is needed with cleaning. There was a pile of rubbish and dust under the bed! The staff were very helpful with bookings and directions although they missed telling a us a small detail on our departure which meant we missed our bus.

The toilet and shower room should be cleaned more often. The location is really good, the staff is able to help you whenever you need it, the value for money is really good. I would stay in this hotel again

The hostel was ok, comfortable and easily accessible from the station, could be a bit cleaner. Internet only works in the lounge.

staff generally seemed a bit aloof and surly, although willing to help out when asked. Seemed overpriced to me, guess there is no competition in Luoyang...

3 friends in a 3-bed-ensuite room: rooms are large but the bathroom only had a curtain, no door, and a window into the room--would've been very awkward if I wasn't best friends with my travel partners. Some of the staff were friendly, but some were dismissive. ie. not answering questions properly and also allowing 3 big groups of Chinese people to check in before us even though we had arrived at the reception before them. However, it was nothing major. If I returned I would stay here again.

Staff is very helpful/friendly, location is amazing, and the hostel dog is very cute. We stayed in a private double ensuite and the room was very spacious; however the bathroom smelled very strongly of mildew. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay for a few nights. Good staff, good location, great food in the cafe. Close to transport for the main sights and there was an old walking street near by. Id stay here again. It was pretty cold but its to be expected for this part of the world at this time of the year, a bit unfair to make a negative comment about that. Im not paying western prices so i cant expect the Ritz. I stayed in a dorm and moved to a private for the last night, amazing room for the price, hotel style.

An excellent hostel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms and clean showering facilities. A little cold in the common room, but it was Winter. Really liked the wood burner in the room. We had a really good stay and would recommend the hostel to friends!

Good hostel located in the middle of the city. Staff is very friendly. Sometimes, hot water was only working in the public showerplace.

This was a nice hostel, the room that we booked costed us 65 RMB for each, and for that price you get to have a bedroom with a bathroom made of glass, so you sure should go with somebody you already know, otherwise the shower time may be a little awkward ! The cleanliness was ok but not amazing and the TV didn't work very well.

It's nicely located next to the old town of Luoyang and very animated food streets. The hostel is basic but can be very cold in the room even with A/C. Aim for a smaller room in winter so that it can heat up better. Also, ask for more blankets if needed. The common room is quite friendly but again a little cold. Eat fantastic food for cheap out the door to your right!!!! Def. recommended!

the staff at yija are fantastic. they provided me with clear and precise directions so that i could use public transport to visit the longmen grottoes and the shaolin temple, made excellent recommendations for restaurants, and were generally helpful and pleasant. i can not say enough nice things about them and hope to stay with them again.

The room was spotless which was very welcome! However the locker in the room did not work so this is an issue if you are worried about general security (valuables can be kept in reception). Bathroom could defiantly do with updating though; no door on the ensuite bathroom, just a curtain, so beds closer to the bathroom may not be always pleasant!

I read a lot into which place to stay in and I had only come from Henan for a break away from work. The hostle was fab and you put on a flim for me, but I must say my room faced the main road and was very noisy early n the morning and into the night too. Thee room itself was great though and I did enjoy the stay. Cheers.
