The hotel is conveniently located right across from the slow train station and within easy walking distance to a lot of the stuff you want to see/do in Guilin. The rooms did NOT smell like other reviews complained about. It was a bit expensive when we went there, because it was National Week. Some of the staff spoke a little English, and also had a translation sheet for some key things to tell you. Helpful tour booking service works in the hotel lobby as well.
Reception speaks almost no english and is unable to get a taxi reservation two days in advance, minibar is empty and can't be cooled down brcause power is cut when roomkey is removed. Window had no seal and pointed to the main street, so it was loud all night. Hairdryer broke down after 20sec of use. Shower head was broken, all silicon gaskets in the bathroom were stained with mould and there were strange brown streaks behind the toilet. To cut it short: Never. Ever. Again.
in general, Zelin is good place to stay. the hotel is just maybe 3 mins walk to the train station. sad thing is they don't have wifi connectivity, which i believe a big consideration in choosing the place.

Nice and comfortable, helpful Robert picking us up from the airport being the definite highlight:) Very good value for money
Located near the bus and train terminals but very busy, dusty and noisy area. The hotel feels cold and impersonal, and the staff is unfriendly. There are many better choices nearby.
Nice hotel close to the train station. Very little English spoken, overall a nice stay.
