I stayed here three nights and have yet to meet Zhou Ma. Her brother and his wife who actually hosted me were quite helpful and friendly however they do not speak much English. Food was good and plentiful, although the packed lunch I was given for my day in the park was quite basic (honey sandwich, fruit, water). The house itself was not really heated, although the beds have electric blankets and the stove is always on and doubles as a heater. The area around the house is good for hiking.
an amazing choice if you are looking to get first-hand experience staying in a Tibetan home, eating Tibetan food and seeing what Tibetans do a day-to-day basis. I really love how they have arranged our meals for us -- prepared all three meals with fresh ingredients they grew, harvested, made and cooked. its so simple but yet so delicious. the host is also really really nice -- while its a little distance to jiuzhai valley but they help shuttle you to and fro to the entrance at ur convenience :)
