Too far away from Jiuzhaigou entrance, traffic jam all the time, stayed 2daya, breakfast was same
They didn't answer the phone when we called them to pick us up. By taxi it is very difficult to get there and it's far away from the park. The family, though, is adorable.
When staying here you have to remember that you are staying in a Tibetan home so it is an experience. They don't have any English but it did not matter as their personality made up for any short fall. The food is great, breakfast, packed lunch and dinner included.
I had a great night here! Fascinating to stay in a Tibetan home and met some great people :) Meals are included: dinner was delicious, as was the fresh bread and honey breakfast. For the amount I paid to share a room with a stranger, I felt that being denied a sandwich for my 9hr bus ride (7:30am-Chengdu) was a little harsh. The location isn't ideal for walking to the Jiuzhai village food/shops/park entrance, but the free ride with Zhuo Ma's brother (speaks little english) makes up for it :)
so authentic and they really make your stay pleasant

We had a terrible experience and would strongly recommend staying elsewhere. The rooms are overpriced for a very, basic, dusty room of questionable cleanliness with no heating at an old village house. Everyone (max ~20) shares the one bathroom (one toilet, one wet shower). Add this to the fact that airport pickup was an hour late and that they gave away our original room to someone else. The place felt inauthentic and commercialised and we cancelled our stay. Pls consider staying somewhere else.
The most memorable stay in Jiuzhaigou! Authentic Tibetan house, food and people! Very warm and helpful people. As Singaporean city dwellers, my girlfriend and I were rather hesitant but when we finally stayed there, we enjoyed ourselves very much! We enjoyed interacting with Zhuo Ma's mother (a great cook!), her brother Mr.Du (very helpful guide) & his children (intelligent boys). It really feels like home here, unlike the crowded hostels nearer to the Jzg scenic area. Thank you Zhuo Ma! :)
Staying half an hour away from the crazyness of Jiuzhaigou town centre was great and you also get to support a local family...although it's really hard to know for sure what's going on! The village is great to walk around and take photos and Grandma loved having our kids around so we all got on well. She cooks home grown food downstairs so upstairs can get a bit smokey and very warm. Getting rides and food included in the price was great as anything you do in Jiuzhaigou costs a fortune...
Warm stay! ZM's mom cooks, her brother arranges activities but their English is limited. The location is near town but in a remote area so not much to do around. To clarify on some prices: discounted Tibetan cultural show (great show!): 150 RMB. Their horse ride: 80 RMB/hr (just do 1 hr, your butt will thank you). Our last memory of JZG was walking 15 mins to the airport b/c the car they called for us couldn't go into the airport?..Suggest get a real taxi, her bro can drop/pick you up from town
Zhou Ma's mother and brother were amazing. The pick-up service can be a bit of an inconvenience as you end up waiting a while on others to show up.
Bad pick up service. After visiting Jiuzhaigou we had to wait for 2 hours in the restaurant of the family and understood that to be an incitation to order drinks or food. Furthermore, the place has become commercial: the family is not eating with us and serves us as customers and not guests. The meals are basic, not especially good and every day the same. This place is not worth the money spent for it. Go to a basic hostel cheaper and closer to the city.
I had a wonderful time, the staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful!
It was a beautiful time at the hostel. The staff were warm and welcoming. The food was good.
Excellent service. Took an hour and a half(?) bus ride from the airport to downtown Jiuzhaigou for 45Y, then borrowed a phone to call Zhuo Ma's number and held up a sign with her name and the brochure of the restaurant. Someone from the restaurant came and picked us up in 10 minutes and we were taken to Zhuo Ma's homestay. The views outside and the art within were enough to keep us occupied for the rest of the day. Only saw her once check in on us, but TzuJieTzu took care of us and spoke eng

Although located far from park, it's not a problem, they will transfer you for free. And when you walk just outside, you will be in real village, not a touristic decoration. They can organize you airport transfer even for 100 yuan! English speaking owners will contact with you by phone. At place nobody speaks English (but you can call owners for help at anytime). Character can vary depending if you will be the only guest, or there will be more. If alone, you will find yourself little stuck.
