There are four main surfing sites to choose from:
The main point: this is a surf spot, located in the bay of Arugam. Every morning you will see dozens of surfers capturing high-quality waves. This is more recommended for intermediate to advanced surfers.
Whiskey Point: About 15 minutes' drive from Arugam Bay, this famous surfing point. It is a really beautiful beach and can provide excellent waves for beginners. You will also notice a pile of people at surf lessons.
Peanut Farm: About 25 minutes from Arugam Bay it's an amazing tucked spot on the beach / surf. Very popular and highly recommend
Elephant Rock: about 3 km south of Arugam Bay provides an award range of beautiful beaches. Early in the morning or evening, we will have elephants wandering nearby. However, it is a good place to provide a surf school and beginners with a sand bar and shallow water. There will be more surfers at this place.
