About

Ses Salines
A beautiful town in the southeast of Mallorca with excellent restaurants and beaches
Ses Salines is a small municipality located in one of the most beautiful areas of the southeast of Mallorca. It's easy to overlook this inconspicuous place, but it contains many remains of the island's rich history, dating back to the Bronze Age.
Ses Salines is one of the closest towns to the Ses Salines cape, the southernmost point of the island of Mallorca. This area has a great agricultural tradition, which still persists. The town is mostly residential and retains much of the charm of the past, making it an excellent choice if you want to experience authentic rural Mallorca.
Along with the nearby town Colonia de Sant Jordi, Ses Salines was of great value for its salt production, especially to the Roman invaders. The name of the town derives from this activity and means 'source of salt'.
About three kilometers from the town is Botanicactus, one of the largest botanical gardens in Europe. And also very close is the award-winning Es Trenc beach.

The Cabrera marine reserve is also nearby, and daily boat trips depart from Colonia Sant Jordi and Cala d'Or.

If you like wine, you can always go spend the day in the second wine region of the island, around Felanitx, with several vineyards open to the public.

Restaurants in Ses Salines
There are many restaurants to choose from. Excellent cuisine can also be enjoyed in some of the best hotels in this area.

Cassai Gran Cafe & Restaurant
Cassai is named after a local fish and located near the hotel's main pool. We offer a wide variety of meat and fish selections and menu...

Casa Manolo Restaurant
Among the specialties, squid in its ink stands out; salted fish and lobster stew (requires 24 hours in advance), and their fish dishes.
