I wish I could have stayed longer at Hostel Boutique 55. My room and common areas were super clean and warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly helpful in organizing a late-night ride from the Tuxtla Guitierres aiport, and accomodating a late and unpredictable check-in time.

The hostal was perfectly adequate for our needs for a couple of days. The room was an ok size and the bathroom had everything we needed. My main issue was with the lack of sound insulation - we could hear everything in the common areas and even from other bedrooms... the walls are basically non-existent. We also struggled to get into tbe building on our first day. We were meant to be provided with a code, but weren't.

We loved our stay here! The room + shared kitchen/living room were very clean and up to the standards. The hostess is furthermore the absolute best! She makes you feel at home and sincerely wants to make sure that you have the best time in San Cristobal. My only advice is to follow her advice and you will have the best time in town.
