The Bear feels like home. I’ve stayed here many times on my way from nb to nl. Beautiful deck, chairs, hummingbirds and view. Gorgeous group kitchen table, fully equipped kitchen, clean sheets and exceptionally clean bathrooms and shower. I’ve met interesting people, enjoyed the surrounding countryside and markets. The proprietor is a ray of sunshine. I look forward to staying here like it’s my favourite vacation spot!!

This hostel is an absolute delight. Yes the rooms are a bit pokey, but the washing facilities are brilliant, the kitchen a great size, there are multiple areas for you to sit and chill and Nancy is a great help too. Our only criticism is that there is a lack of toilets. downstairs there is 2 rooms of 4 sharing a toilet and shower, however because its downstairs everyone is using it so this can be tricky. The location is amazing, so happy we found this.
