Trip'n'Hostel Chill Zone

Hostel itself including all outdoor spaces and garden areas, everything is fantastic. was just disappointed a bit by the room itself, in the description we booked a room with queen bed that sleeps 2 and we got a bunk bed which is not what we foresaw. description on website can be better.

Great physical space, but heavily cliquey culture and disorganized management The property itself has great potential as a coliving space. The layout is calm, kittens are adorable, the coffee is great, and the volunteers are warm and welcoming. However, independent short-term travelers should be aware that the daily house culture is heavily dominated by an insular clique of long-term residents. Basic social greetings are completely absent in shared spaces, where acknowledgment is substituted with silence. For example, a long-term resident reached directly into my personal space to access something without an introduction, greeting, or acknowledgment. This lack of basic awareness regarding personal boundaries and community consideration makes the shared spaces highly uncomfortable. Furthermore, communal cleanliness was inconsistent. Large messes were frequently left behind in the shared kitchen, which required urgent cleaning in front of arriving guests. Other travelers also explicitly commented to me on the overall messiness of the space. Administratively, the property is disorganized. When completing my payment in cash, the host did not offer a receipt, and I had to explicitly request one to secure proof of payment. There is also clear internal confusion regarding booking extensions and how policies are inconsistently applied to different guests. Finally, communication broke down entirely at checkout. The host was completely unavailable and did not reply to email inquiries regarding where to leave the keys, forcing me to leave without standard instructions. The property would benefit greatly from consistent administrative procedures, better kitchen upkeep, and a culture that actively bridges the gap between long-term residents and short-term guests.

This is my second time here and I even extended my stay. It’s a friendly welcoming and clean environment. Wes is an exceptional manager. There are fun activities if you want them and you can also relax and take time for yourself. The chill zone version is the perfect place if you need to do work during the day with great social activities and a community at night. I love Tirana and have been able to make some friends that I will remember long after the trip ends.
