Deer Isle Hostel

Deer Isle Hostel is an off-grid eco-hostel located on a bridge-accessed island on the coast of Maine. The location features a seventeenth-century style house, a communal kitchen, several guest huts in the surrounding forest, two private single rooms, two private double rooms, and a tent site. The property has organic gardens and solar power, outdoor shower, a fire pit and access to seaside trails.

In August and September, we have a fun and delicious communal dinner on Saturday nights. Dinner is at 6:30pm, and costs $20 per person (kids under 10 eat free). Dinner reservations can be made the day before or on the day of the dinner.

Deer Isle is one of the best places to sea kayak, has numerous nature trails and a couple of small beaches as well as convenient access via mailboat to Isle au Haut, one of the gems of Acadia National Park.
