We didn't have a great experience here. The hostel is not new like the reviews say, it's just been taken over by different owners. There was no air con (and the fans didn't work), towels, or hot shower, but all of these were advertised on hostelworld. No glass in the top windows in the dorms so lots of mosquitos came in at night. The first bed I went to was wet through so had to change. It's a long walk to town and probably wouldn't be safe for a solo female. The staff were friendly though and i

I had an amazing stay here! A huge shoutout to the staffs especially shawn and Jay they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. They even arranged food for us, and everything was very affordable.The location is also really convenient, around a 10–15 minute walk from the city centre. However, if you’re travelling alone and arriving after 7 PM, I’d definitely recommend taking a tuk-tuk. I would absolutely come back if I’m ever in Kandy again Highly recommended! 🤍
