I have stayed in a few different hostels in Antigua and although Lura is brand new it is definitely the best in town. Internet is reliable for digital nomad work, and there are many different work spots with power outlets available. Dorms are comfortable and have lockers with enough space for your backpacks. Food is great and the free breakfast is really convenient. They also have a coffee shop, great for having a cappuccino while working. I’ve stayed here twice now, and Lura is by far the nicest hostel I’ve stayed at in Guatemala. It honestly feels more like staying at a boutique hotel. Everything is so beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. The food is incredible, genuinely some of the best hostel food I’ve had anywhere. And the staff are so kind and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of. Special shoutout to Gerald for always being so accomodating and helpful with everything!!!
