The Wild Elephants Hostel is not just a cheap bed in a great location. We offer you an experience unlike any other. Our staff is backpackers who would like to involve you in various daily activities, cook you delicious vegan-friendly dinners, and take you for a wild night out in the best local venues of Bratislava.

The inclusive social environment we work in will easily make you a part of your new home away from home shared with your future friends. We are located in a beautiful square in the city center, next to a market, various bars and one of the biggest restaurants in Europe! (which serves traditional Slovak food, ask in our reception, we bring guests there every day)

Wild Elephants Hostel Terms and Conditions:


Cancellation policy: 48h before the check-in date or within 24h of booking (unless you booked a non-refundable rate)

Late cancellation or no show: full amount charge

Payment is by cash only at check-in

Check-in from 15:00

Check out before 11:00

Breakfast not included

Arriving late at night? Don't worry, just ring our bell and our receptionist will open the door for you in a couple of minutes.

AGE RESTRICTION IS FROM 18 TO 40 YEARS OLD.

We do not accept stag, hen, birthday parties, and similar kinds of groups that fly into Bratislava just to get drunk, whatever the number of people is.

We do not accept groups of over 8 people, even if you have different reservations

You must stay on your assigned bed. Moving beds without telling staff will incur a fee of the same amount as the current rate for your selected room.

The smoking fee inside the hostel is 120 EUR - and immediately leaving the hostel without any refund.

We keep the right to cancel your reservation or immediately turn you away with no refunds if you violate any of our policies.

Government tourist tax is 3.50 EUR per night per person and is NOT included in the price of your reservation (students between 18 to 26 years and Slovak nationals are exempt).

We do not allocate bunks and operate a first-in-first-choice policy, therefore we are unable to offer any preferred choice between upper or lower bunks.
