Casa Arapaima is a little tropical paradise tucked away beside a stream and surrounded by lush trees and bamboo. It is an oasis of peace and nature that is still only three minutes’ walk away from shopping, bars and restaurants and a ten minute walk to the Medellin Metro Train Station. Metro busses also run every few minutes on the street at the top of the driveway so the whole city of Medellin is easily accessed from our peaceful and relaxing refuge. The property is gated and the large red brick house is out of site of the street and set in perhaps the safest neighbourhoods in Medellin. The property teams with birds and wildlife as the stream is a wildlife corridor for Coati Mundi, Opossum and several species of wild cats. Our trees and bird feeders attract over 50 species of birds that are easily viewed and enjoyed from our veranda and outdoor lounge area.

Sabaneta is in one of Medellín’s municipalities. Going up from El Trapiche Restaurant (close to Hospital Venacio Díaz Díaz and Centro Comercial Aves María) you will find apartment buildings on both sides of the street. Casa Arapaima is across from apartment building Parques de San Remo.

Casa Arapaima has five rooms (four private rooms and one dormitory). All rooms have shared bathrooms. Rooms are cool and quiet. High quality beds and bedding insure the best night sleep in the city and our English speaking staff are experts at organising travel and ensuring that our guests have an excellent experience.
