I stayed in the girls 4 bedroom and really enjoyed this hostel. The room was always clean upon my return, staff was very friendly. They post the daily activities and night activities on a board and usually get a large group going. Morning breakfast is hosted by Mama, she is the sweetest and treats all like their grandchild, the crepes just kept on coming until you were stuffed. Noise level was okay The location is amazing, supermarket next door, beach is a 10min walk and great spots for eating

Rising Cock is definitely a party hostel. I felt very safe and the people I stayed with are very nice. Almost 80% Aussie euro summer. Good pub crawl with the volunteers. This hostel has proper cleaners although bathrooms could be cleaner as there were not many. Mama was amazing and cooked everyone pancakes in the morning. If I was to recommend a hostel in Lagos it would be this one. Especially if you want to party. Which is why you come to shagos

My stay was a little tainted by the lack of hot water on the showers and me staying in a room without air-conditioning in a very hot spell. Considering the other factors the hostel staff was really helpful, organizing events and helping create a great atmosphere, its location is great, very close to all we want to see in Lagos
