St Christopher's Liverpool Street

Overall, this is a fine hostel. I appreciated the A/C in the room, especially since the temp outside was quite warm. Staff accommodated my requests for a bottom bunk, which is much appreciated. While the pub downstairs was convenient, it’s one of only two common areas available to guests. the world cup games were happening the week I stayed and both common areas were either reserved or ‘at capacity’ at least a couple of evenings, meaning guests had no space except for the bedrooms. Not ideal!

I ended up on crutches shortly before this trip but the wonderful staff helped me through this - they were very helpful and changed my bed so I was on a bottom bunk and near a bathroom - thank you! The 24h reception is great and makes you feel looked after. Good key cards on the doors. Two sockets and a light on the beds, storage under the beds, curtain on the bunks, air conditioning (the best part!!) As usual for a hostel bring your own padlock or buy - for here you need a smaller size :)

Overall really wonderful spot! Super peaceful and the aircon is a godsend. Would recommend it. In terms of things that could be improved: a microwave to heat up food in the common room. Also I don’t love that the common room is often unavailable to use due to functions- you should remove it from your hostel offering then. The environment is lovely and peaceful. The staff are nice. It’s just lacking in facilities (kitchen, laundry).
