The hostel itself was lovely and the staff were very friendly, the room was very basic but did the job, do expect lots of creepy crawlies (including scorpions and tarantulas) as the hostel is practically in the jungle. The hostel is close to semuc champey, however is quite a distance from anything else, so the only way to get around is by tuctuc. Would definitely recommend the semuc tour with the hostel :)

Nice location for Semuc Champey and we were really happy with our tour guide that the hostel connected us with (we had read that we didn't need one but were very happy that we decided to go with one). We were a little surprised that there were no outlets in the room and the internet just comes from a phone at the front desk (only available during working hours) but it sounds like that's how most places are around there. Overall, the room was a great bargain and we really enjoyed the park!
