Lovely hostel with a nice social area and good location. Unfortunately, the dorm rooms are way too hot at night. The A/C can be adjusted, but even after we complained the staff wouldn’t change it from 25 degrees and kept switching it off or turning it up and hiding the remote. As a result, I barely slept which was a shame as everything else was great. Constructively, it should be the paying guests decision as I am aware at least 4 people in our 6 bed dorm could not sleep!

I had a good stay at Home Sol, it fit my needs! It's at the north end of the main tourist strip so a short walk away from the main hub. The place was really clean and beds are comfy, but mosquitos got in my bunk regularly. The showers/toilets share a single room so if someone showered, your feet will get wet using the bathroom - best to have sandals handy. The staff were all very kind and helpful, but it didn't feel like they were overly interested in conversing with guests - this can be good if you aren't
