Vik Hostel / Norður-Vík is a small family run hostel in the charming village of Vík in South Iceland. We try our best to be eco and we are animal friendly and have some animals next to our hostel so if you are an animal lover we might be your cup of tea.

We have dogs, chickens, ducks and one orange car. Our guests get discount at the best places in Vik when it comes to food and activity. Contact us after booking for the discount codes, you also get them at check in.
Linen and towels are included. We have free parking and wifi, guest kitchen and shared bathrooms.

Our cottages have private facility. Breakfast is available at Suður-Vík restaurant next door to the hostel. We look forward to welcoming you to our hostel.

Cancellation policy: 7 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 14:00 to 23:00. Self check in available at any time.
Check out before 10:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash (ISK or EUR), credit & debit cards.
This property may take the payment when the cancellation window is over (7 days before arrival). If you prefer paying cash instead, please contact the property before the cancellation time is over.

We stayed here two nights and would def recommend. They are conveniently located with great views of the town. Beds are comfortable and even when the hostel was fully booked we never had an issue accessing a bathroom or stove. The worker at the front desk was friendly and helpful and when we needed to extend our stay last minute, they were able to accommodate. They also have many animals to greet you including dogs and horses and ducks and chickens.

My stay was great, everything was spotless. I went in winter and it was super warm! The location is great since you’re close to so many sights and trails and the town is close and has great food in it plus a store for you to get groceries. Will try to stay again when I come back!
