Greenlife Sembalun

Greenlife Sembalun is a family-run campsite in Sembalun Lawang, East Lombok, set at the foot of Bukit Anak Dara and surrounded by forest, gardens, and mountain plantations. It sits close to the Sembalun trailhead, the main starting point for the Mount Rinjani summit trek, which makes it a natural base for hikers, backpackers, and solo travellers exploring the valley.

Nights here are what people remember. On clear evenings you can watch the sunset and golden hour, sharing good times around the campfire as you catch the full moon rising over the Anak Dara Hill. Then, you can fall asleep under the Milky Way and thousands of stars. Days are for slow mornings by the campfire, many hikes into the Sembalun hills, walks through the plantations, and exploring many waterfalls, mostly remote and hidden.

Roy and his family cook fresh breakfast and dinner from vegetables grown in the garden, with tea made from their own butterfly pea flowers. Roy is as much a guide as a host, happy to show you around the village and help arrange onward transport.

This is a break from the crowded cities and beaches, this is real camping: clean, comfortable, and simple, with tents pitched right in nature. This is not a resort. Guests are treated as family rather than customers, which is why so many leave already planning to come back.
