Someone to Run With

Someone to Run With follows Asaf, a 16-year-old boy who sets out to find the owner of a stray dog wandering Jerusalem’s streets. As you watch, the dog becomes a guide through Tamar’s world—a lonely girl with a risky plan to rescue her brother. This adaptation of David Grossman’s novel offers a fresh take on a coming-of-age story, blending moments of tension with the subtle discovery of first love. You’ll find yourself drawn into the city’s pulse and the characters’ intertwined lives. The play offers more than a narrative; it invites you to experience the emotional layers behind each character’s choices. The story’s pace mirrors the urgency of Tamar’s mission, keeping you engaged without overshadowing quieter, reflective moments. Whether you’re drawn to heartfelt drama or a glimpse into Jerusalem’s complex backdrop, this production balances both with care. It’s a thoughtful way to spend an evening, especially if you appreciate stories revealing unexpected connections between people.
