Old & New World: 3rd Symphony Concert

The 3rd Symphony Concert offers a thoughtful mix of European Romanticism and African musical influences, centered around Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's Four Novelletten. You’ll also hear Mozart’s G minor Symphony, which captures a move from formal classicism to more personal expression. Schumann’s Fantasy, performed by pianist Daniel Kobyliansky, adds another layer of depth to the program. The Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn brings these pieces to life, creating a rich dialogue between old and new worlds. Listening to this concert, you might appreciate how the music bridges different traditions and emotions without feeling forced. The blend of styles invites reflection and discovery, whether you’re familiar with classical music or just curious to explore. It’s a chance to enjoy a carefully curated program that balances elegance with intensity. You could find yourself drawn into the subtle shifts and contrasts that make this performance stand out.
