Kerry International Film Festival

If you’re interested in discovering a mix of Irish and international cinema, the Kerry International Film Festival offers a carefully chosen lineup of features, documentaries, and shorts. It’s a chance to see films that don’t often make it to local screens, especially since Killarney lacks a dedicated arthouse cinema. The festival brings together film lovers who appreciate thoughtful storytelling and diverse perspectives, making it meaningful for anyone curious about cinema beyond the mainstream. Beyond just watching films, you’ll find the festival enriches the cultural scene in the area, supported by both local and national partners. The selection encourages reflection and conversation, whether you’re attending alone or with friends. It’s a setting where the power of film to connect people quietly shines through, offering moments that stay with you after the credits roll. This event suits those who enjoy cinema as an art form and a way to engage with different voices and stories.
