T-Short Animated Film Festival

If you’re curious about animation beyond the usual, the T-Short Animated Film Festival offers a chance to explore short films that push creative boundaries. You’ll find a mix of abstract, experimental, and surreal works, mostly under 15 minutes, that tell stories without relying on dialogue. The festival brings together animation lovers and professionals in Karlsruhe, but you can also catch screenings online. It’s a space where visual storytelling takes center stage, inviting you to experience animation as an art form. Rather than focusing on national pride, the festival celebrates global creativity through a selection judged by an international jury. This means you’ll see a diverse range of styles and ideas, often from auteur filmmakers who experiment with form and content. Whether you’re watching alone or with others, the films encourage reflection and curiosity, making it a thoughtful way to spend time with innovative animation.
