Souls

Souls tells the story of Grisha, a man whose soul has wandered through centuries, countries, and bodies, despite living a grounded life with his mother in Jaffa. The play blends realistic fantasy with deep questions about life, death, and what draws a soul back to the world repeatedly. You’ll follow Grisha’s journey as it unfolds against his mother’s firm belief that life is singular and everything else is metaphor. This thoughtful production is based on Roy Chen’s award-winning novel and directed by Itay Tiran, offering a unique take on themes like sin, love, and reincarnation. The story invites reflection on existence without feeling heavy or abstract. It offers a narrative balancing the mystical with the everyday, accessible whether you know the novel or not. The characters’ struggles and beliefs create moments both personal and universal, encouraging quiet contemplation. For those who appreciate stories that linger after the curtain falls, this one offers plenty to think about.
