I’m From There

I’m From There offers a thoughtful exploration of a life marked by both hardship and beauty, told through the perspective of Amer Halihil. The performance traces key moments shaped by a homeland rich in history, where tragedy and poetry coexist. As the opening event of the nineteenth Hakaya Forum, it invites reflection on memory and culture in a way that feels both personal and universal. You’ll be drawn into a narrative that moves beyond individual experience to touch on shared histories and emotions. The show is crafted in collaboration with Al-Hakawati, the Palestinian National Theatre, adding depth and authenticity to the storytelling. It offers a chance to witness how art can reconnect what pain has separated, creating space for understanding and reflection. Whether interested in theatre, cultural narratives, or stories of resilience, this performance provides a meaningful experience. It’s a quiet reminder of how creativity can illuminate even the darkest chapters.
