New Vasantashram on budjettihotelli vilkkaan Crawfordin markkinoiden sydämessä. Tammikuussa 1947 perustettu se on täyttänyt 70 vuoden jatkuvan vieraanvaraisuuden. Sen kohtuuhintaisuus, tyyli ja strateginen sijainti tekevät siitä oikean valinnan liikemiehille, opiskelijoille ja turisteille.

Very nice simple but comfortable place to stay in a great location in Mumbai. We ended up booking a second night because of changes in travel plans and they were very accommodating. They gave us good tips for the local area too. Really reccomend!

This is literally the worst possible location to stay in entire mumbai. The entrance is completely hidden behind a dark alley and it is so incredibly dirty and unsafe. Moreover, the entire place is dusty and complely packed with construction material. It should not have been suggested. I have lost faith in hostel world and would recommend everyone to walk on the street till morning rather than booking a room here.

Unfortunately New Vasantashram is not as it appears in the photos; it is up 3 and 4 flights of stairs with no lift, there is no shower (the wash facility is a foot level tap and a bucket). There was a significant amount of dirt and dust in the room, hallways, bathrooms; in fact everywhere. There was construction work going on so perhaps improvements are to come. There were some positives; the staff were relatively friendly, although not particularly used to talking to foreign tourists.
