Encanto Hostel is a unique property situated amidst nature on Colombia's Caribbean coast. Our accommodation options include private and shared rooms, and a river-facing terrace, offering guests an authentic experience. Our goal is to provide our guests with a comfortable and unforgettable stay while exploring the natural beauty that surrounds us.

We are located in Mendihuaca, a beautiful area just 45 minutes away from Santa Marta. Our location allows guests to enjoy the tranquillity of nature while still being close to nearby attractions like Tayrona National Park. Our target audience comprises tourists seeking to appreciate the natural beauty of Colombia. We want to inform our guests that Encanto Hostel is in a natural reserve. To help preserve this beautiful environment, there is a one-time entrance fee of 5,000 COP (approximately 1.5 USD) per person. This fee provides access to the enchanting "Poza Encantada," a hidden gem worth exploring during your stay, and helps contribute to the conservation of this pristine area.

Our rooms feature private balconies overlooking the river, daily cleaning service, and high-quality bedding for a comfortable stay. Additionally, we offer our guests access to the river, Wi-Fi, and free parking in front of the hostel for added convenience.

As a reminder to our valued guests, please be aware that due to our remote location surrounded by natural beauty, internet access at Encanto Hostel can be limited at times. We encourage you to embrace this opportunity to disconnect from the digital world and immerse yourself in the serenity of our natural reserve.

Encanto Hostel Policy and Condition:

Cancellation Policy: 3 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Lovely hostel in a unique location - really enjoyed the semi-hidden waterfall just a 45 min walk from the hostel. We were seemingly the only 2 guests for the 2 nights we stayed there which was a shame as the hostel had great facilities that more people could enjoy. Great place to switch off in nature and still accessible to Tayrona and Mendihuaca beach.

Beautiful property surrounded by nature. The rooms are super tranquil and you go to sleep with the sounds of birds/ crickets and you can hear the howler pass by in the morning. Harold is a great host and working hard to make sure all the guests are happy. He will go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay! Would recommend if you want somewhere peaceful to wind down. The property is also close to Tayrona so it can be a good place to stay before/ after you visit the park.

The price I was charged wasn’t what Hostel World offered. I ended up paying extra upon arrival. The type of room was wrong. I booked 3 beds in a 4-bedroom, however, there were -only-big rooms with 8 beds on one side and 8 beds on the other. Finally, a kitchen was promised, but there wasn’t one, and we brought some food to cook. The owner was proactive and offered to cook our food. But only after he suggested we left for a full refund. The experience was ok given the circumstances.
