Worst hostel I have ever stayed in. It is in the middle of nowhere and will cost you a million $ to get into town each time to do any activity. They have 0 atmosphere (seriously, there’s no one here) but they insist on blasting the most awful music till 1 in the morning. The only place to eat is the restaurant and the food is terrible & triple the price of anywhere else. They also charged me double for my stay and refused to refund me after I sent them multiple emails. Truly terrible. Run!

We booked here as we’d stayed in two Mad Monkey hostels in the Philippines and loved them. It was close to some of the tourist attractions like the waterfalls but sadly was 45min away from the nearest main town so you had to rent a scooter to be able to get anywhere and the hostel was very far from the main nightlife. The hostel tried to maintain the ‘party vibe’ with loud music and lights until 2am every day but there was no one there for it so you just got a bad nights sleep.

We overall enjoyed the stay, the atmospheric was definitely good for meeting people and we had a great night. However, we found it quite expensive for the food and drinks, much more expensive than other places we have visited. They also add a service non optional service charge to all payments at the bar/for food, which they could not tell us where that extra money went and we didnt like that it was not optional. Some staff were quite rude, but the reception staff were lovely.
