I enjoyed a chilled stay at Casa Columpio. The staff Lucy was super friendly and attentive to needs which was very valuable to the hostel. It is a chilled vibe, less arranging activities etc. but this was good for me as I was able to have some nice conversations still and relax. The beds were great and a fan is in the room. Good security and good location. The bathrooms are good with shampoo and towel, though cold water showers for me. Have one before 8am. A nice quiet hostel from roads too!

The location and decor is great, very homely and chill. However, this comes at the cost of not being a social hostel. The common areas are really comfortable enough to hang at for a long time. The wifi at this hostel is almost unusable from the room. It constantly disconnects and I had to use my hotspot half the time. The worst part and it's not necessarily the hostel's fault but the constant dogs barking is relentless. Just a heads up it will affect your sleep.

I mean i dont see myself as a difficult guest but the service was honestly below par. Waited 2 hours for someone to make my bed (even though I arrived after check-in was open) I only stayed one night and didn’t get much sleep as other guests decided to blast music and have a party (walls are paper thin and earplugs didn’t help) - no staff during the night to mitigate so I had be “that person” and tell them to quiet down - unpleasant for me and for them. All in all I do not recommend.
