Hostify Hostel

Hostelworld did not mention that Hostify has only 2 types of dorms - Male dorm and Female dorm. There was no mixed dorm available. We are a couple who were looking for mixed dorms and when we went to Hurghada at 12am in the night we were told that there were no girl dorms available and they had reserved 2 rooms in the male dorm instead. We were asked to leave if we weren’t feeling comfortable at 12:00am in the night. After talking to the staff for at least 45 minutes, he finally let me and my partner stay in the male dorm and asked me to be quiet so as to not let anyone in the dorm know there was a women staying in their dorm. Since we booked only 1 night, the staff didn’t feel that this could be a problem. I mean coming from a different country to Egypt, those words like “Don’t make any noise, don’t let people know you’re here, please keep curtains down at all times, wake up before everyone and leave” did not feel like safe words at all. It was not fair for us to pay fully and live in fear all night without sleeping. I just want to let people know that there are no mixed dorms. Please don’t be fooled like us.

This was my first time staying at Hostify and I already can’t wait to come back! Super clean, amazing staff and an incredibly convenient location on the main road. Thank you for a lovely stay! :)
