Living Ground Project, Masanamaca, A Living Space Rooted in Soil, Food, and Real Life.

Living Ground is not a typical hostel. It is a place that has been built by hand, slowly, over time, in relationship with the land it sits on. Located in Masanamaca, just outside Vilcabamba, this space brings together gardens, food, and simple living in a way that invites you to step out of the usual rhythm and into something more grounded.

The property is surrounded by working gardens that produce much of what is used on site. There is a small café and food offering available throughout the week, prepared from what is growing here or sourced locally. This is not a place of luxury, but a place of intention, where the focus is on simplicity, nourishment, and connection to the environment.

Rooms are private, each with its own bathroom and hot water, and the space includes quiet areas to rest, walk, and be. The atmosphere is calm, open, and reflective, shaped as much by the land as by the people who pass through it.

Living Ground also serves as a space for learning and exploration. Guests often find themselves engaging with ideas around soil, food, and the relationship between land and human health, whether through conversation, observation, or simply being present in the environment.
