Yhteenveto matkailijoiden arvosteluista

Ciarus Strasbourgissa tarjoaa fantastisen sijainnin, lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä vanhastakaupungista. Vieraat ylistävät usein poikkeuksellista siisteyttä sekä ystävällistä ja avuliasta henkilökuntaa. Vaikka jotkut huomaavat sosiaalisen ilmapiirin puutteen ja huoneiden kaappien puuttumisen, sitä kuvaillaan usein enemmän hotelliksi kuin perinteiseksi hostelliksi, mikä tekee siitä turvallisen ja mukavan valinnan matkailijoille.

The staff are very nice and helpful and the location is good. However, the room is advertised as being air conditioned but it isn’t. We had a private twin room. The receptionist provided us with a fan and moved us to a twin room on the 4th floor as our initial room was bunk beds, which isn’t what we had booked. However, the room was like an oven, even with the fan. We did not have very good nights sleep for the three nights that we stayed. I would not recommend this as a place to stay in summer.

Overall good value and good experience. The room was a little smaller than other hostels I've stayed at, which is not a big issue, but a mirror or an extra sink would have been nice (I've stayed in a few hostels that have a second sink outside of the bathroom which has been very nice). My main complaint is cleanliness: large windows and no a/c meant there were lots of bugs in the room.

It is worth to note that this hostel is more like a hotel with dorms. You have no kitchen whatsoever and it dose not have the same social atmosphere as many other hostels. I booked this specific hostel because it was stater they had ac (it was double the price of the other hostel which did not have ac) but it turned out there were no ac. Luckily the windows did open, otherwise the room would have been boiling. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. It is nice that they provide you with a towel.
