decent enough hostel, but needs more regular cleaning and more space. In a lodge of about 15 people, there are only two bathrooms and the smallest kitchen I have ever seen. I stayed for 3 nights, 1 of the toilets was cleaned once and the other was never cleaned..

You have to walk a bit from downtown but it's a great place at the feet of the mountain. Surrounded by nature and good views to the mountains depending on your cabin. They solved any issues very quickly. Staff was nice. I even had a flight Cancellation and had no issues coming back. Laundry works just fine. Just have good travel insurance if you're coming to Queenstown. Flights can be canceled due to the weather in the mountains..

I stayed at this place for 8 nights and I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The 2 girls who worked at the reception were very nice. The facilities were of a high standard and the lodge is walking distance to the city center. Overall I was satisfied with my stay at the Pinewood Lodge.
