À propos

moun10 Jugendherberge Garmisch is the alternative accommodation in Garmisch for those who don't need a star hotel but don't want to miss out on anything on their precious days off. The young, casual atmosphere and practical modern rooms make moun10 a home for staying in Garmisch. The impressive alpine natural scenery in which the youth hostel is embedded speaks for itself. We don't want to redefine with moun10 holidays in the Bavarian mountains, but without question we want to make it richer by a few facets.

In the moun10 youth hostel, regional traditions mix with modern action sports. Whether it's board masters, upcycling fans, adventurers or outdoor enthusiasts ' everyone gets their money's worth here. For us, experiencing community is important in a stylish environment where you can relax. For the first time, we offer a sauna under the roof with Alpine panorama. A bar and an integrated shop complete the offer.
moun10 stands for Mountain, i.e. mountains. What unites us in Garmisch. Whether in the modern age or tradition â€' you can get a taste of mountain air here. With moun10 we define youth hostel stylishly! End monotonous one-size-fits-all rooms without character. End cold lounges. End group bathrooms in the hallway. Here you get to experience the whole package to feel good, relax and community.

If you are on holiday in Garmisch, you are exploring the surroundings or enjoy being active in all sorts of sports. Once back in moun10, our rooms are the ideal retreat to recharge their batteries. Here you can stay longer and do what is always neglected in stressful everyday life. All our rooms are ensuite and have our specific moun10 design. Maybe read a good book in the reading area with a panoramic window? You decide.

Overall, I had a great stay. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the hostel itself was great. Unfortunately, I had one very unpleasant interaction with one female staff member. I found her behavior toward me extremely unfriendly and, honestly, it came across as discriminatory. Other than that, everything was great. The rest of the staff were absolutely lovely. And a special shout-out to the Afghan gentleman working there — he was genuinely the nicest person ever!!

Honestly the highest end a hostel can be, its location is right next to the train station, and a bit further out from the center (5-10min walk) which gives it a calm and quiet vibe. Its clean, well managed, with a good breakfast included and a nice sauna, workout space (though it is humble). The people staying are often older (families or travellers above 30) so keep in mind its not a “party/social” hostel.
