Iluka Backpackers is within the BIG4 Iluka on Freycinet Holiday Park and sits opposite Muirs Beach at Coles Bay on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania. It is an ideal location from which to explore world renowned Freycinet National Park and Wineglass Bay. The area is rich in stunning natural beauty, great walks, history and offers an abundance of nature- based activities. It abounds in local produce from beautiful wine to fresh seafood.

Our backpackers hostel has 8 bedrooms with share kitchen, bathroom & lounge. On site we have a café/pizzeria, bistro/tavern and convenience store.

Guests can explore the surrounding Freycinet National Park, 1 km away or enjoy surfing at Friendly beaches, fish the local spots or spend time on our safe swimming beach.

Local activities include: ATV adventures, scenic flight or helicopter ride, Wineglass Bay cruise, Oyster farm tour with tastings, paddle a kayak or SUP.

L'Iluka Backpackers à Coles Bay bénéficie d'un excellent emplacement et d'une cuisine bien équipée. Les clients apprécient les chambres propres et les lits confortables. Cependant, certains visiteurs récents ont trouvé l'endroit froid en hiver, avec des problèmes de chauffage et de température de douche.

Kitchen was poorly stocked. 1 knife and it was a bread knife. 1 melted chopping board. Fridge froze all our food. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable.

Great location. I had a private double room and it was pretty comfortable. I was the only person in the hostel the first night and I felt pretty safe. I really liked the separate fridges for the rooms. It's a great way to make sure there's enough space for everyone.
