Mombasa Yacht Club Hostel

Mombasa Yacht Club has stood on the shores of Kilindini Harbour for more than 115 years. It is a centre for learning about the sea, sailboat racing, and meeting people in a relaxed coastal setting.
The hostel accommodation is set within the club’s gardens and offers light, airy rooms for guests. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, with bedding provided to ensure a restful stay. All bathroom facilities are conveniently located nearby.
For those who enjoy an outdoor experience, our garden tents are shaded by 50-year-old trees and overlook the harbour, offering a peaceful retreat. Please note that tents are provided without mattresses or bedding, so guests are kindly invited to bring their own.
There is 24-hour security on site. The swimming pool is available to guests whilst they are staying at the club.
Check-in is from 2:00 pm onwards. Please let us know in advance if you plan to check in after 6:00 pm. Check-out is at 10:00 am. Late check-out may be possible with prior arrangement and may incur an additional charge.
A cooked breakfast is available from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at an additional cost of KES 800. This includes tea or coffee, toast, eggs, sausage, and hash browns. Guests who pre-book breakfast by 4:00 pm the previous day receive a 10% discount.
