Tomato Urban Retreat Torino is a sustainable hostel in San Salvario, the liveliest neighbourhood in Turin, a 10-minute walk from Porta Nuova station, the airport bus stop and the metro, and three blocks from Valentino Park on the river Po.
Twenty-one rooms — singles, doubles, a triple and mixed dorms, 46 beds in all — every one with its own private bathroom, air conditioning, towels included and free fast Wi-Fi. Around them, 200 m² of shared spaces: a 24-hour kitchen, a café serving Italian breakfast and cakes, a coworking area with a meeting room, a private courtyard, a table tennis table, bookshelves instead of televisions, and a 24-hour laundry.
Running on certified green energy since 2011. Still and sparkling water on tap instead of plastic bottles, refillable dispensers in every bathroom, separate waste collection on every floor and a breakfast free of packaged products.
