Overview

At Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv, mornings are all about the free breakfast. Later, spend a lazy afternoon on our rooftop terrace in a deck chair beneath the palm tree. We love organising things to do too, from yoga classes and cooking workshops to BBQs and free tours of the best bars around the neighbourhood. Our busy bar and lounge always has something going on, like casual jam sessions or gigs by local bands.

Location

We're right in Electric Garden, a small but creative and super fashionable district. You'll be just under half an hour's walk to the beach, plus the cool Florentine neighbourhood – a favourite for its underground nightlife scene – is only a 13-minute stroll away. For culture, the Old City of Jaffa (with its historic port and galleries) is 23 minutes away on buses 25, 40, 42,125 or 240. To reach us from Sde Dov Airport, jump on the 125 bus for 31 minutes to Allenby/Yehuda Halevi, a 5-minute walk from us.

Rooms and Dorms

Whether you're in a mixed dorm, female-only dorm or a private room, enjoy the luxury of en-suite bathrooms, loads of natural light and air con. We'll dress your bed in fresh sheets and give you towels for the hot showers. Carrying heavy bags? Jump in our elevator and store them in the self-service lockers during your stay.

Extras and activities

After a day checking out Israeli urban art in Florentine, come back to our spacious lounge to use the free Wi-Fi or just zone out in the TV room. Pop by the kitchen and fix up a snack to munch on while you browse the movie selection (that's our kind of multi-tasking!). Should you want to explore the on-trend clothing shops of Bograshov before leaving but you've already checked out, you can leave your backpack in our luggage room. You can even hire a bike from us to get you around the streets with ease.

A really great hostel to visit as a solo traveller. They organise nightly events and even though the hostel is massive it has a nice friendly atmosphere. Great location to bars, clubs and restaurants. A little bit of a walk to the beach but tons of public transport around and when the sun is shining who cares about a little walk!

I had a really nice stay. It was social for those that wanted it but I was with a group so we did our own thing. The main area was spacious and a great place to hang out. The live music was great.

    Fabulous

Great hostel, with loads going on but still plenty of areas to chill out during the day. Locals and people from other hostels come for the pub crawl, so it was a great laugh. Place was kept clean, although they could give the whole dorm floor a wee clean now and again (not just the bit near the door). Only downside is that the staff are disinterested and borderline rude. They are more interested in doing their own thing than helping out. Saying that, I would stay again if back in Tel Aviv.

Ideal for “on budget “ travelers clean rooms clean bathroom Plenty of showers available in comparisons to other hostels. Rooms have sufficient space, pretty cool location in reference to nightlife’s spots, but a bit far from the beach all in all goid hostel

Huge hostel, almost felt like a hotel at times. Great rooftop and so many activities organised by hostel. There was a cinema screening on the roof while I was staying. Rooms are spacious and clean, and the 24 hour reception were friendly. Kitchen and communal areas huge, and excellent free breakfast provided. Doesn’t have the cosy feel that other hostels have, but that is to be expected given the size of the hostel.

    Good

It's like a large youth hostel, so it's quite smelly in the dorms and corridors. Also, when I asked the reception guy to help with ordering a taxi for us, he spent about 5 minutes hassling me that taxi drivers refuse to pickup people that aren't going to airport. However, I then installed uber on my phone and it ordered a taxi in less than 60 seconds :) I guess if you want things done right, just gotta do it yourself! On the plus side, it's quite cheap (if you stay in dorms), breakfast is decent
