    Superb

Convenient location right next to Roma Termini, safe to walk even at night, restaurant next door with good food (discounted by this hostel). Rooms are decent, air conditioning works great! Ensuite toilet/shower are nice, shared toilets still decent! Great atmosphere, there's a rooftop terrace with cheapish drinks and always buzzing full of travellers socialising. Staff are lovely too! A bit of a walk to the attractions eg Colosseum (~20mins walk) but it's a nice walk and the best way to see Rome

This hostel had really great facilities, the roof terrace bar was amazing and the rooms had really good a/c. It was a bit out of the center of Rome, which wasn’t a massive problem because I enjoyed the walk (most days). Would definitely stay here again

Had an amazing time staying at this hostel. Friendly staff and great atmosphere, met a lot of really amazing friends. A bit far away from the city center but close the main train station. Location is safe to walk even by night.

    Fabulous

    13 Aug 2019
This being the second hostel that I stayed at in Rome makes me sure that I would only stay here if I had to since the yellow is superior. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t better, it was smelly and my key card and the key cards of my bunk mates stopped working and we had to go back down multiple times in order to get into the rooms. No laundry but they do provide you with a discount it’s just a couple blocks over. Staff was great super helpful just those things made it average for me.

    Fabulous

Met so many great people here. Bar was awesome. Central enough, but of a walk/ ride to the big sights but worth it. 24hr staff were always up for a chat. Could have been cleaner and rooms were a bit stinky. A girl I met there said she got bed bug bites but I had no issues. Still would stay again!!

Pretty good hostel with great staff who are very helpful. The bar setup is a money trap though. Charging stupid prices for drinks and not allowing you to bring you own drinks in is a pain.

Big hostel with a bar and a rooftop terrace. The Saturday night party was good fun with an open bar for an hour + drinking games and a night out for 20 euros. Rooms are clean and the en-suite bathroom was okay. Lockers did not work so there’s no security though!

    Very Good

    14 Aug 2019
This hostel is good value for money, it’s got all the necessary facilities (kitchen, multiple showers etc) as well as a gym. The atmosphere didn’t feel very social but the rooftop terrace bar was a good place to chat with people when the music wasn’t being played at ear splitting levels. On that note if you are on the 4th floor you can really heart the music from the terrace till around 12:30AM. No complaints about the staff or security. Located about 30minutes walk from the colosseum.

    Good

    17 Aug 2019
The hostel had potential but the lack of cleanliness killed it for me. The kitchen was filthy and had a permanent bad smell. The bathrooms and showers had a permanent bad smell. The showers are very awkward and difficult to move in. After one person showers the whole are becomes wet. My room had a window that never opens and no natural light. The big night out was fun , the gym is small but good. The terrace closes way too soon but the at least there's a bar around the corner.

Alessandro Palace Hostel & Bar says

What really puts our hostel ahead of the rest is our facilities...we've got an onsite bar with drinks at reasonable prices, a roof garden, air conditioning in all the rooms, Wi-Fi in all areas of the hostel and a unique Roman style of architecture inside. For fun our guests usually like to meet people and have a drink at our bar. Most of our guests are 20 to 35 years of age-flashpackers who have style when they travel-and we try to take care of all our guests equally.
We're in a convenient location near Termini Station, so our guests can get all around the city very quickly. When people ask me where they should visit in Rome, it's hard to decide which one to recommend, but I think I'd have to say the Colosseum. Alessandro, Proietti
