The location is where you can see Japanese’s ordinary lives very closely as it is in populated area and there are the Yoyogi park, which is one of the biggest and representative parks in Tokyo, and the Meiji-jingu Shrine, where you can absolutely find out what Japanese traditional shrine looks like, very close to the hostel. For more fun, You can even walk to Harajuku that is center of Japanese fashion and one of the biggest shopping streets. Also you can get to Shibuya, where is known well for the most people crossing the intersection crosswalk at once and the hottest place for young people to hang out in, and Shinjuku, the best connection to all places for sightseeing and where should visit by one train from yoyogi park station. For all of these, fortunately, the hostel is just a few minutes walk from Yoyogi park station and Yoyogi hachima station. Also, Tokyo Haneda International Airport is 15 km away from the hostel. Almond hostel & cafe Shibuya is a very friendly and atmospheric place. The food and the drinks in the café are delicious and you can chill out in their lounge all day. The staff is great. Very helpful, patient and funny. I felt very good from the beginning. In case you like to stay overnight you should take your ear plugs with you or buy some in the reception. It is still a Hostel and with that you are sleeping with people in the same room, but luckily you get your own little comfy cabin. ;)

The perfect spot after hopping right off the plane, this hostel was incredibly easy to find and was in a very convenient location right outside of Yoyogi-koen station. The bed felt very private despite being in a large dorm and it was very quiet and clean. The staff were very friendly and the great coffee was just what I needed when jet lag hit me the next morning. I would stay here again.

Stylish café in the lobby with relaxing music playing, very friendly staff, location is absolutely perfect: quiet area neighbouring major attractions. The bed itself was very comfortable, everything was incredibly clean, the storage area for my bags was big. The building overall felt new and well maintained.

The Almond Hostel and Cafe was a great place to stay for such an affordable price! The place was kept so clean and the beds were quite spacious. There is no kitchen in the hostel and it is only allowed to eat in the entrance but you can bring your own food in the cafe that serves as a lounge for the hostel too! Just be aware that the cafe is a popular one and can be crowded by times. The hostel is also located in a nice area of Tokyo close to Yoyogi Park and Harajuku/Shibuya. Totally recommend!

A little bit of a walk to the center, but transit is right beside. Good size to lock up backpack/suitcase. Hostel has a cafe as well. I was there travelling solo in the off season and most people were in pairs and kept to themselves.

In a really cute little neighborhood. Lots of lovely shops and food near by but out of the hustle of Tokyo. Easy walk to Shibuya/ Shinjuku and located near two different train lines. The layout is a little funny as the showers and toilets are in with all the beds which makes sleeping really hard due to the noise of the hair dryers/showers etc. Staff were lovely but would have loved a kitchen. Very clean and quiet/ not social vibe.

Staff were a highlight : extremely helpful and friendly. The location was great too because it was a quiet suburb to come home to after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo city. Also coffee shops, convenience stores, restaurants and subway short walking distance away. If you like clothes shopping it's ideal too. Close to vintage shops and one subway stop away from Harijuku. Only complaints would be the lack of computer facilities (but this seems standard in Japan) and the pillows were so thin!

The bed was comfortable and check-in was easy even though I didn't know Japanese. I'm claustrophobic but I had no problem in the "capsule" bed because the ceiling was rather high and the space was pretty wide. It was a little hard to recognize from the street but Google maps was very accurate. I was surprised to find out that there was a lot of space for my luggage. I would recommend getting a bottom bunk because it was a little scary getting in and out of the top bunk.

Great place over all. Only flaw was no kitchen for guests, but staff were super accommodating and will let you use cafe facilities like the kettle/microwave. Also, if it's a short stay you are in the perfect area to tryout lots of Tokyo eats! Rooms were very nice, clean and quiet with good storage space for bags. No complaints. Thanks so much.
