Overview

Apple Hostels of Philadelphia is the place to be if you want to hang out, meet new people and get some awesome freebies! Thursday nights kick off with free drinks, followed by a pub crawl around some of Philadelphia's coolest night spots. We also serve free beer four nights of the week. We've got a pool table for showing off your best moves with a cue, and a piano for those who love a good bit of a music. If that's a bit retro for you, there's also an Xbox One that's free to use.

Location

We're 40 minutes from Philadelphia International Airport by public transport, and you'll find us in the heart of the old city. Our hostel is right beside all the main attractions – we're just 7 minutes' walk from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall – so you can have a culture fix when you're not getting involved in our social events. You'll find plenty of places to sample the famous cheesesteaks on Market Street, just a 2-minute walk from us.

Rooms and Dorms

We've got male-only, female-only and mixed dorms, so you can choose whichever you're most comfortable with. We also have private rooms, including two family-sized options that are perfect for groups of up to four people – you don't need to be a family to reserve them. You'll get free linen for your beds and access to your own private locker whatever you go for.

Extras and activities

Loaf around our large lounge and you're bound to make some brand new buddies. Want some help breaking the ice? We throw events every day of the week. Get sophisticated on Saturdays with our wine and cheese evenings, or learn the spooky side of the city's history on our Monday and Friday ghost tours. Our social areas are hard to beat, with a welcoming lounge room fully stocked with board games, books and (of course) free Wi-Fi.

Great hostel, with everything you need, right in the historic centre! The liberty bell is a 5 min walk away. The staff are friendly, and the cleanliness is great! I would highly recommend the $5 ghost walks, and taking advantage of the free pasta nights!

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in actually. The facilities were super nice and clean. Sweet location even though it’s down a darker alley. Don’t let that disuade you though. The only thing is that the beds are metal frames, but they are study too. Not even bad. Stay here if you’re gonna be in Philly!

This is a gem of a hostel right in downtown Philly. You can tell it was created by someone who has done a lot of traveling and stayed in a lot of hostels because they think of lots of details to make it enjoyable and a great stay. While in Philly, I stayed in their 4 bed shared, 6 bed shared and queen size private rooms. All were comfortable and clean. Location is great, price is great, planned events were fun, staff is helpful but not all are friendly. Overall a superb place to stay!

The location of this hostel is perfect for seeing many of the historic sights in Philly. The hostel is newer and the facilities are very nice. My one minor complaint would be that the breakfast, while free, is sparce - cereal and oatmeal are the only choices. Still, it is included in the nightly rate. Also, in my experience, staff were courteous but not very friendly.

Amazing hostel, one of the best I’ve stayed in. Great facilities. Great staff. Only downfall which is no fault of theirs was that there were quite a few weird and homeless people around that made me slightly uncomfortable

Apple Hostels' location was pretty convenient. Majority of the tourists activities we hit up is walkable or accessible by transit. The hostel itself was clean and spacious. I really like how the the theme of the hostel is Rocky Balboa. In the morning when I walk downstairs to exit the hostel, I hear the music of Rocky when he enters the arena or running on the famous steps in Philly, pretty epic. Thanks for a good time Philly, until next time xo

The atmosphere in the commons area was cool and chill. The billiard table makes for a nice ice breaker, and like that its five minutes from the liberty bell!

The position is great, the hotel is cool but being 18 in a small room is not exceptionnal... Since we were not much in the room, it was ok. Otherwise Philly is an exceptional city! The staff was nice too 😁
