Enjoyed this place. When I came here it was mainly full of gap year backpackers who were working, mainly on the farms. Nonetheless there was a nice atmosphere in this place. The staff were nice and helpful. Only criticism is that we were given keys for the dorm rooms, but the door was never locked in my experience. Nonetheless there were good sized lockers in the rooms for use, and I felt the building was fairly secure otherwise. Good location close to Tauranga CBD.

Had a good experience here. The only bad part was that they said they have free parking. But they DO NOT. Even on posters in the hostel they advertised free parking. You have to street park. Other than this everything was great. They have lockers and a nice open area. Would suggest hanging out for a day at Mt. Maunganui as we loved this the best.

    Fabulous

This hostel had one of the nicest bathroom facilities that we've seen, but also one of the worst beds we've slept on. The kitchen was great. The hostel was definitely not quiet after 10pm as promised but we did not mind. Rooms were kinda freezing. The location was good: quiet but near everything essential. Toilet paper was out more times than I could count!

    Very Good

The hostel was okay but not amazing. It felt like you were entering a house with people that had been living there for ages, there was certainly no backpacker feel, everyone else seemed to have been the for a long time. The rooms were pretty cramp and could have felt a bit more clean. Generally quite a strange place.

    Very Good

Our room was clean, tidy and very adequate. Everything else was a little below par. There are notices about noise, and washing and drying dishes but no sign of compliance or enforcement. One night the toilet paper in one toilet completely ran out and there seemed no way to get this sorted. Stocks of plates and cutlery were barely adequate. These are little things that cost almost nothing to fix, so it's disappointing to have to mention them.

Guy from reception was rude and unhelpful. Cramp and smelly room. Definitely below the standard for a $34 room. We took the decision to move to another hostel and loose the night we already had paid in than staying here.
