I had a wonderful stay at Astor. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clean and the location is quiet and away from the main streets which if perfect for me. Very good location across the street from the fabulous British Museum and close to great shopping. Beds were on the stiff side which I prefer so I was comfortable. Storage lockers under the bunks were very convenient. My only complaint is that they charge for towels, but that is not totally unusual. Thanks Astor!

Very nice and helpful staff. Beds were comfortable and everything was pretty clean (as in: not spotless but I never felt gross). Nice big storage lockers under each bed. All in all a very good hostel, I recommend.

Very nice hostel. The common area was bit cramped and hot. Main stay was in a different building which was bit of a surprise. Overall, a good place for decent night of sleep.

I was in the other building and just stayed a night so it was fine. Clean dorms and bathrooms. However not enough showers and bathrooms in the 2nd building. I don't know about the main one. It's fine for a night. Excellent location just behind the British museum. Staff was nice and helpful.

Couple of things that were a bit off: 1. Rooms were too small for 4 people to operate. There was a time when two people were getting ready/packing and I had to just lie there on the bed because there was no way i could take my stuff out and do what i had to. 2. People were courteous enough to keep the sound to minimum but you need light to move around and look for your stuff; therefore, sleep masks would be awesome and lamps for each bed would be awesome-r
