Great stay, all staff very friendly/helpful, room was clean enough and so were the bathrooms/showers. Location is superb, walking distance to all major landmarks, museums, bars, etc. This hostel is great if you are not planning on spending much time at the hostel itself. The reason I say this is because space is limited (as in most of London) and the lounge/hang out area is fairly small. There are also no elevators so be prepared to go up and down the stairs if you are placed on the top floor.

Amazing place. Amazing people. A proper hostel, unlike the commercialised bigger ones you see. Kitchen and living room is a nice touch for socialising with a feeling of home away from home. Very clean and great value for money in July especially. Helpful staff and just generally lovely people. Would recommend, will be back. Until next time gang

I really like this hostel and I've been back twice now. Due to my advanced age (50 this year!) I wasn't sure if I would fit in, but it was a relief to see there are people of all ages and all walks of life, which helped me to forget my concerns. I love the kitchen, it's a pleasant space with natural lighting, you can help yourself to a value-for-money breakfast and chat to people. The staff are great !

The Astor Museum Inn is located opposite the British Museum, in "an elegant part of town", according to a Hostelworld user. Our reviewers praised the "amazing and very friendly staff" at this hostel, which offers "excellent value for money". We've noticed that this hostel attracts many repeat guests who seem to come back because "there's always something going on" at this "very laid-back" hostel with a "relaxed, hippy vibe".
