Overview

We took the saying 'go big or go home' seriously when creating Atlantis Hostel – it's the largest in Kraków. A lot of thought's gone into making the space just what you want, from our roomy kitchen to the cosy lounge. To help your cash go as far as possible, we've got free coffee and tea, free-to-use computers and free Wi-Fi everywhere, including in our café and bar areas. Swing by our 24-hour reception to catch up with friendly staff who'll help you with all things Kraków – from handing out free city maps to giving directions to the city's impressive main square or helping you book pub crawls and tours.

Location

If you're heading to Atlantis from Kraków John Paul II International Airport, jump on bus 292 to the final Dworzec Główny Wschód stop, then get on a tram at Dworzec Główny Tunel, the city's main train station. It's a 30-minute walk to the hostel from here, or you can take another tram. We're right on the edge of Kazimierz, the historical Jewish Quarter, which is now a buzzing student hub full of cheap bars and restaurants.

Rooms and Dorms

If you're roaming the world on a budget, book into one of our clean mixed dorms. You get free bedding and towels as well as a locker big enough for your backpack. We also have private rooms with en-suites – some of which have views of Kraków's famous Wawel Castle and cloister gardens. If you're travelling in a big group, you can choose one of our multi-person dorms to fit the whole crew.

Extras and activities

Whatever you get up to at Atlantis Hostel, our traditional Polish hospitality is always on tap. We've got a book exchange if you fancy unwinding after a busy day of sightseeing, plus free luggage storage to keep your backpack safe while you stretch out your time in the city. To keep your passport super secure, we have a safety deposit box, too.

Excellent stay. The location was fantastic and our room even had a view of the castle. If I came back to Krakow, I would certainly stay at the Atlantis again.

Arrived at night and the front desk staff was uninterested and seemed annoyed by my presence.. Up 4 flights of stairs to the dorm rooms. Very secure- codes on doors and keys for everything. Beds are squeaky. Hall way and floors seemed like they hadn’t seen a vacuum cleaner in years! I didn’t want to put anything on the ground. Cafe in the morning was a bit awkward but the morning staff we’re much more pleasant. Very inexpensive

Main areas of hostel weren’t overly great, kind of dirty, older and smelt stale however the room was very clean, comfortable mattress and clean bathroom (private double room with en-suite). Would definitely stay here again!

Booked 4bed female. Told it was “blocked out” tried making me go to a 10bed. Firm no! Was given private room for my 4 nights. Nice recently renovated room with shower. No locker. Never serviced in the 4 nights. Staff never greeted me when i stood in front of them for a couple minutes waiting to be acknowledged. Checkout was a hand to grab the key off me and “thankyou”. No lift just stairs. Uber eats delivers! Walls are thin. A shame the staff let the place down upon arrival. No vibe either.

I was in a 10 person hostel room. When I got to my bed, the shelf inside was covered with someone’s old dried out contact lenses which is unsanitary and disgusting. The bunk bed I was on was very squeaky and not stable, so anytime the guy above moved, it would wake me up. The people in my room didn’t follow any of the rules (they smoked in the room & bathroom, being noisy 2-4am, drunkenly trying to hook up) which I understand the hostel can’t control, but it negatively impacted my experience.

Overall very disappointing. The type of room we booked wasn’t available when we checked in, the receptionist very casually said “yeah we had to block it for something hope you don’t mind”. They did place us in a private room instead but with no en-suite bathroom which I told them it was our only requirement. The bed were extremely uncomfortable, shared bathroom were not clean. The ambience is ok but not great. And I’m sorry but at least the staff members we encountered were not at all nice.

From the moment we walked in, we felt extremely uncomfortable. The staff at reception was rude upon arrival and was not helpful. We got sketchy vibes when we entered our shared room. A few hours later, we decided it would be the best and safest decision to find somewhere else to stay. Everything was old and had not been kept up. The bunk beds felt like they would fall apart at any moment. I would not recommend this hostel to any travelers, especially female ones.
